Andrew Shapiro is a Founder and Managing Director of Beacon Global Strategies, a strategic advisory firm, specializing in International Policy, Defense, Cyber, Intelligence and Homeland Security. Prior to founding Beacon, Mr. Shapiro had a distinguished career at the State Department, culminating in serving as Secretary Clinton’s Assistant Secretary of State for Political-Military Affairs from 2009-2013. Mr. Shapiro managed U.S. security relationships with partners in the Middle East, with India and Brazil and made key contributions to the U.S. pivot to Asia by leading an increase in military sales and transfers to U.S. partners including Taiwan, Japan, and Indonesia.
