ALI is pleased to release its new report: A Worker-Centric Digital Agenda. The report builds on ALI’s previous reports, A Global Digital Strategy for America and Next Steps for U.S. Digital Leadership, to discuss digital policies that support workers and small business and how a digital trade agreement could be negotiated to incorporate these provisions.

Digital policies and agreements must start with ensuring that all citizens have equal access to digital technologies and training, enabling small businesses, and addressing the labor challenges of the digital economy. The report goes on to discuss how trade provisions should be adapted to address the needs of workers and small businesses, and finally, developing digital governance provisions to protect networks and ensure that workers can reap the benefits of new technologies while being protected from potential harm.
