Myron Brilliant

Myron Brilliant is a Senior Counselor to the American Leadership Initiative. He is also a Senior Counselor to Dentons Global Advisors-ASG and is founder of the Brilliant Impact Group.  Prior to his current roles, Brilliant served as an executive vice president and head of the International Affairs Division at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the world’s largest business association. He had oversight over 20 plus bilateral business councils (e.g., India, Japan, Mexico, the U.K., and Egypt) and several high-level strategic dialogues with business leaders in Africa, China, and the GCC, among other markets. Previously, he served as the Chamber’s vice president for Asia.

 

Under Brilliant’s leadership, the Chamber developed the largest international government relations program of any U.S. trade association, conducting programming in over 50 markets. He strengthened the organization’s ties to American Chambers of Commerce abroad and foreign business associations and deepened engagement with multilateral and regional organizations, including the G20, IDB, IMF, World Bank, and WTO. Brilliant also oversaw the expansion of the Chamber’s global reach with the launch of new bilateral business councils for Bangladesh, Israel, and Kazakhstan, as well as the deepening of its international policy work in cross-cutting areas such as defense, sustainability, global health, and data governance.  

 

Brilliant is a recognized authority and sought-after participant in engagements with foreign heads of state and with top U.S. government officials in the administration and on Capitol Hill. For over 25 years, Brilliant has been a leading public figure in commercial diplomacy between the U.S. and China. He also successfully directed and led advocacy campaigns to the support passage of U.S. trade agreements with Australia, Colombia, Panama, Singapore, and South Korea.

Brilliant is a frequent commentator for national media outlets, covering international business and trade policy. He served on the boards of the Atlantic Council, the U.S. Council for International Business, the Center for International Private Enterprise, and the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, an advisor to the America’s Leadership Initiative, and an economic development adviser to the governor of China’s Guangdong Province. Mr. Deitz has extensive experience advising C Suite executives regarding all aspects of public affairs, investor relations, sustainability issues through collaborative strategies. He has led development of mutually beneficial outcomes with diverse stakeholders.
